I have been collecting watches for more than 30 years. Like author William Gibson, who helped get me started, I have always favored the "need me to live" mechanical watches; when I had an excess of disposable income I splurged on expensive makes and models, like IWC, Chronoswiss, Zenith and Cartier.
Over time. I have come to appreciate value especially, along with quality and design. I guess that's obvious when I look at my collection and now see 10 watches from Marloe. It all started with a Lomond Chronoscope back in 2018. Even though (of course) I do not "need" another wristwatch, I have found expression after esxpression from these watchmakers on my doorstep and on my wrist. The watches are elegantly designed, beautifully made, carefully decorated, and all feature intriguing, complex movements, spectacularly-detailed dials, and carefully matched beautiful straps. Choosing a favorite is like choosing a favorite child, but the Pacific 55 in gold gets a lot of time on my arm.
