I have had yarn from Marriner before and have always been pleased with the service and quality and value for money. However, I ordered some chunky acrylic yard in October 2016 and realised when nearing the end of the garment that I had not ordered enough. As I wanted more yarn for my next project I ordered one 100 gm ball of the chunky acrylic plus my further order. However, when the order arrived I noticed that the Dye No. was different from that I had in October. Normally this would not make a huge difference to the eye but in this case the colour was so different that I could not use it. I rang Marriner to see if any of the October Dye No. was available and was told, 'I'll have a look in the oddments box.' Then told that there was none. Not very helpful at all. I was disappointed that such a big difference in colour could occur, but more disappointed in the 'couldn't be bothered' attitude. It will not stop me from ordering again but in future I will make sure I order enough yarn!
