I was excited to receive the Mermaid Maypole and Carnival wool and start knitting. I didn't think the quality was great but it was the multi-colours that had attracted me and they were lovely so I knitted 9 inches of a jumper back. When I looked at it in the daylight next day I could see random spots of white, it looked as though small spots of bleach had hit the jumper, it was obviously not meant to be like that! I emailed sending photographic proof and telephoned Marriner urging that time is of the essence as I needed to get on with knitting two little boy's jumpers as presents & explaining that where the colour changed in some places the two colours didn't meet and that's where the white spots had come from. As the multi colours are dark it's an obvious problem. It was the same on each ball of the jumper I've started. Three days have gone by and although I have requested new rechecked wool or a refund, I haven't even had an acknowledgement from Marriner of my concerns. My advice , don't purchase wool from Mariner
