I was extremely pleased to finally receive my order from Marriner Yarns. The yarn is of a high quality and I am very satisfied with it. Unfortunately the choice of courier service, Hermes, left a lot to be desired. I had the email from Marriner's advising me that the order was on its way to me. I went onto the Hermes website to check the progress and much to my disappointment I saw that the package was on its way back to the sender. I telephoned our local Hermes lady who was very helpful. She checked with her colleague who also does the local deliveries and was told that my parcel hadn't been received by them. I was told that there could be many reasons why the package wasn't delivered, incorrect address or the address label had come off, I was also told that there were a few glitches with their system, someone else that day had contacted them querying a problem with their delivery. I was told to wait until the following Monday/Tuesday and then check with the sender and see what was happening! I was extremely cross by then, why couldn't they look into the problem as it was of their making. However, finally on the Saturday my package arrived. I love everything about Marriner Yarns, the ease of placing the order, the ease of negotiating my way around the site and the quality of the product, what I do not like is the choice of courier company. Before when I have placed an order with Marriner, the post office has made the delivery, usually within 4 days.
