After sowing yellow rattle seeds last year and again this winter I followed up with a ‘belt and braces’ approach by planting 25 plug plants last weekend. Thanks to a decent overnight rainfall I made an inspection of my perennial wildflower patch this afternoon. I am delighted to report on about four good patches of single seedlings hidden amongst my short grass and also that the plug plants are now looking spritely and strong ! I began by sowing half the pack of seeds in early December and followed this with the second half just before we were forecast to get a frost during February. This has been a success I think. I always read through all the information sent which is clear and very informative. The information does not let you think the task is easy but it encourages you to have a go anyway ! Thank you, Jane x
