Clockwork is great for me as non-bulk sms gateway. The advantages I found are: suitable pricing, global coverage, easy to use API. The most important advantages: payment by PayPal, no month fees, easy registration process, which are pretty rare to find among sms gateway services. I use Clockwork as a backup alarm, and it does the job right.
