My experience with Merriam Publishers was shockingly unprofessional and deeply disrespectful. I explained to Henry that I couldn’t talk on the phone because I’m a full-time caregiver for my mother. Rather than respecting that, he responded with personal insults and condescension.
After politely asking not to be contacted again, Henry sent me a message that was not only unprofessional but outright cruel. He wrote:
“And you don't have the guts to pick up the call and say you are not interested. I have dealt with a lot of freebie seekers and broke people like you, so it's nothing new.”
This is not just bad customer service—it’s harassment. No one deserves to be spoken to this way, especially when setting clear boundaries. I would strongly caution anyone considering working with Merriam Publishers. A business that treats people with such blatant disrespect is not one I can support or recommend.
