I recently contacted Montane after suffering complete adhesive failure on an eVent Jacket. The adhesive used on the seams, Velcro (cuffs) and reinforcement tabs dissolved during a regular wash! Montane's comment, "stick it back together with Gorilla Glue" and offered no repair service. After further investigation it would seem that some of the adhesives used have a limited life expectancy .....something that Montane have confirmed to be true! My suggestion would be to admire your expensive Montane clothing from afar and under no circumstances wear them for fear of body sweat and oils dissolving them! High spec has now become high-street. Potential customers of Montane may be interested to know that Montane is now owned and run by Inverleigh LLP a private equity investment company. Any Montane ethos that may of existed in the past, will be long gone by now. Where once customer service had substance, now high growth, margins and profit are the new norm'....you know how the story goes! Don't be fooled, I'm sure there are still honorable manufacturers out there.
