Dishonest advertising with bait and switch pricing.
They sent out an email advertising a piece at £120 then raised the price to £160 a couple of days later - dubious but I guess technically ok.
Then when I went to their website I was told I'd get 10% off my first order - doensn't make up for the price rise but…
So I registered.
Received the code (and a sea of spam).
Selected the ring.
Chose the size - no help from their "size guide" that tells you how to measure the circumference of a finger but doesn't actually give the circumference on the size chart - yes I can convert circumference to diameter but really… do they even proof read their website.
Anyway I get to the checkout and enter the code and find "this item's not eligable for the code", I try again with a different browser and find the code is now accepted.
When the ring's delivered I find it's the wrong one - with the hassle of trying to get the voucher accepted I'd mistakenly sellected a similar (but no way near as striking) piece.
So I returned that - hopefully I will eventually get a refund and ordered again more carefully.
This time I found the 10% first discount code was accepted on the "wrong" ring but was not accepted on the ring I actually wanted that had been advertised and then had a 33% price hike immediately after the mailshot.
Stating you'll get 10% off your first order and then refusing it at checkout seems to be false advertising to me, and putting that on top of increasing the price by 33% a couple of days after an email campaign advertising at a lower price is a sure way to annoy potential customers.
