After losing an airpod pro I was looking for a solution to order just one device. After searching I found this website. The process of finding the firmware and model number was do-able but not frictionless (since I am using an android phone, but borrowing an iphone for these steps is not a problem).
The airpod arrived in time and after following the instructions everything worked without issues! So that saved me from having to spend an additional 180 euros on a new set.
