I recently purchased a basin and toilet from Nationwide Bathrooms. The advertised products clearly state "pan with cistern and seat" and "basin with stand" for a given price. I even contacted them via their Live Agent Chat facility on their website to ask "if I don't take the chrome option for the stand, what do I get as default?" I was informed by their agent "it will be stainless steel".
When the items arrived I only had the pan and the basin. The other items were missing. I immediately contacted Nationwide only to be told I had only ordered the pan and basin, the other items are options that I had not selected. I would have to order the additional items at great expense, or I could have a full refund.. but only if I returned the goods within 7 days at my expense with a long list of conditions regarding condition of packaging, even down to the type of tape used and method of return. It would have cost me north of £100 to return to goods.
I now have an open dispute via my credit card company and have opened a case with Trading Standard under the Misrepresentation Act.
There is a long list of others on Trust Pilot and various other review sites with exactly similar experiences.. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!
