This spot lamp has been designed to be wall-mounted with 230V entry from behind only.
ie. there is no side entry port. This is not made clear in the description. As I needed side entry (from a conduit), I was obliged to drill and ream a hole in the side and supply a small grommet. The previous spotlight (made of a white plastic) had all the workings on the back and circumferal plate. For me a much easier fitting. (I had no need of the dimmer, just the basic lamp)
