I really wanted to love OrthoFeet. Their marketing convinced me these were premium shoes designed for foot health, and at first, they seemed promising. I wore them daily for short walks around my neighborhood—30 minutes at a time—and they felt fine. But I recently took them on a 3-week trip to Europe, walking several hours a day. That’s when the nightmare began. These “orthopedic” shoes caused severe blisters, peeling skin, and strange irritation in areas I’ve never had issues with—not even in cheaper or less “specialized” shoes. The worst was between my toes, which was incredibly painful and frankly bizarre. These are not feet new to walking or travel; these shoes simply failed under real conditions. When I reached out to customer service—both via email and phone—the response was infuriating. The emails were clearly AI-generated, offering zero personalization or meaningful help. On the phone, I was told flat-out that I was past the 60-day trial period, so no refund, no credit, not even an apology. That’s it. No consideration for the fact that this was a gradual-use product that only showed its flaws with time and more sustained wear. For a company that positions itself as foot-health-first, the service is completely tone-deaf and dismissive. The shoes might work if you only wear them for light, short walks—but if you plan to actually live in them—travel, walk, be active—don’t expect either durability or support from the product or the company. I’m not just disappointed—I feel duped. And for a brand that claims to prioritize customer well-being, that’s unacceptable.
