A scammer pretended to be from a government grant program. They convinced me to pay $1,000 in “processing fees.” I realized too late it was fake. I found Resorus through a Facebook recovery support group. They helped me write and submit complaints to both my bank and the scammer’s payment provider. They also coached me on how to report the fraud to the FTC and state authorities. Within 6 weeks, my bank refunded the money. I shared their info with a church group where others had also been targeted.
