The short-finger Ascent gloves from pactimo are the best I have ever owned, so I bought another pair. The padding is spare, but is exactly where I need it. I also decided to buy some full-finger Alpine gloves but I wasn't sure if they had the same padding or not, so I bought them in extra-large so if they did not have the same padding I could wear them over my Ascent gloves. This turned out to be the right decision. The Alpine gloves do not have the same padding, but I can wear them over the Ascent gloves and get protection from the cold and get the cushion I need.
