The hat performed as expected. It was a little more breathable than a standard benie which meant I felt colder before I started running but during the activity It performed very well. The ear coverings do tend to creep up so I did have to keep pulling it down but this wasn't a deal breaker and the headband shows while the bill is flipped up. I'm sure this would work wonderfully under a helmet but I purchased it for cold, rainy, runs.
