I recently purchased knicker length bib shorts for winter riding. They do provide adequate warmth and are generally well made. I don't care for the chamois - it is small and oddly it seems to be placed too far forward so it bunches up in the crotch and not enough cushion in the rear. I have other Pactimo bib shorts, and different models, where the chamois fits fine.
