I had two old phones to sell. I done an online comparison and found a company who would offer me £140 for one device and £149.00 for the other. I sent the devices at my own expense (nearly £8) as the Royal Mail label the company sent me did not work . I sent the phones on 30/10 tracked to Phone Convert, 7 Bosinney Road, St. Austell,Cornwall,PL25 4UL. The Return Address listed was Damon Mulready, Phone Convert, The Old Bakery, Truro, TR11QH. A person named Damon Mulready assured me that I would have the cost of postage refunded. I then had no communication until 4/11 when I received an email to apologise for him not sending the trade in pack. I had already sent the parcels tracked and knew they had been delivered, so I contacted phone convert to ask what was happening. Damon then told me that he had emailed me regarding one of the devices being locked to a Google account. I removed the device from the Google account, and then was told that this wasn’t correct and it could be done by an "engineer" and he would be in touch once the phone had been reset. On the 13/11 I had to chase up communication again, further apologies and excuses were given. I then asked for my devices to be returned as it was clear to me this company can not be trusted. On 17/11 I still had not received any reply so I chased up again to be told the system was not working correctly and I should have received new quotes. My Iphone 7 has always had a case covering the front and back of the device and did not have a mark on it. The Samsung was also in excellent condition. I replied that no quote had been received and as mentioned in the previous email I wanted my devices returned immediately. I once again received no reply, I then emailed to say that I would be contacting the relevant authorities to report theft as I have evidence that my devices were received yet no payment has ever been made. I then received 10 emails within minutes with both devices stated as having a problem and therefore new quotes had been sent. Damon claims that my Iphone had a crack in the bottom and therefore was worth £35 less than quoted originally. Surprisingly the Samsung is also apparently "damaged" and therefore the quote is for £39 less than originally stated. I declined both new quotes immediately but I am just waiting for the next excuse/ lie about why the devices still have not been returned. I have sent multiple emails requesting my devices back and no response. I have reported to Trading Standards and Action Fraud.
