For some time, even before I retired, I realised that there was no such thing as a free financial adviser. Approaching retirement, I needed guidance as to the best way forward with regards to my “Pension Pot”. I contacted many companies who were offering advice at a cost and very eager to take care of my money for me. Once these companies had established contact, they wouldn’t stop pestering me to make what could have been a bad decision. Gavin offered to make a personal visit to discuss my needs in my retirement. Gavin was like a breath of fresh when he visited my home. I was very impressed with his knowledge. His whole attitude put me at ease and was not pushy in any way shape or form. He offered several options and was very upfront when questioned about charges, so much so that I decided to appoint him as my financial adviser. Having several pension funds with different providers, I thought it would be a nightmare to collate all these funds but Gavin took all that pressure away from me and arranged all the necessary transfers. Having just received my first annual review, I was very reassured that my fund had achieved what Gavin predicted. His advice throughout the year, has left me feeling very confident for my future retirement years knowing that he has my best interests at heart.
