I thought long and hard about what I wanted in a purse. I'm 62, and I wanted a purse that had all the features I like and was so well-made that it would last me the rest of my life. (I just use one purse--I don't have a collection that I rotate through.)
The Reveille Mattie nylon satchel by R. Riveter is the bag for me! It is super strong, understated, and extremely well made. As soon as it arrived, I put all my gear and EDCs in there and haven't looked back.
