I honestly didn't think I could buy replacement tips for my Weller W60D, circa 1976/77, Made in USA, soldering iron. Looked on net, and found them on Rapid Electronics, so bought the complete set of four, while they are still around. I only waited a few days, all in stock. They were sealed packed of German manufacture, genuine Weller parts, they are just superb, beautifully made. I ordered them by phone, and the chap that took my order guaranteed me they would fit my old but faithful W60D iron, he wasn't wrong, they are a perfect fit. So thank you to him. I was so impressed, I ordered two more, 3.2mm and 5mm for which I use the most, just in case they wouldn't be available in future years.
