Difficult one, this, because there was a significant quality problem with equipment sold by Rapid Electronics but manufactured be a third party - a company with which one would NOT expect to have quality control issues. It is unreasonable to expect Rapid to check all items from manufacturers which are normally reliable.
Rapid's response to my complaint was immediate. They checked all their other stock of this item and found others with the same defect. From their good stock they offered me a replacement, and they notified the manufacturer without delay.
So it wasn't Rapid Electronic's fault, but they acted immediately to put things right.
