My freezer had stopped cooling properly, so I was referred to this company through Currys. I contacted them and was charged £165 upfront. After two days, someone came to my house. He spent no more than two minutes looking at the appliance, didn’t use any tools, didn’t even properly open or inspect the freezer, and immediately claimed it had an “internal gas leakage.” Then he just left. I later called their customer service and asked, how can someone diagnose a serious fault in just two minutes without any proper checks? They simply replied, “Our engineer is highly experienced.” That was their only answer. However, the reality is this issue was caused by nothing more than a simple ice build-up, which can easily happen when a freezer hasn’t been properly defrosted — not some serious internal fault. After I defrosted it myself with a hairdryer, the freezer started working normally again. The so-called “engineer” did not diagnose the problem properly. He didn’t use any equipment, didn’t take any measurements, and didn’t even attempt a basic defrost to confirm anything. His so-called diagnosis was nothing more than a guess. This company took my money without providing any real service. Even if they refund a part of it, they said they will keep £75 for the so-called engineer visit — but in my opinion, this was no proper engineer, and this is nothing but theft. Please do not trust this company. They are scamming people by pretending to carry out professional inspections. I hope to report them so they cannot continue deceiving others.
