Booked a fixed price repair for a cooker oven. I was very clear about one of the potential reasons for the fault. The repair was accepted and an engineer arrived as planned. The actual fault was different to what I had suspected and the engineer requested the replacement parts. repaircare.co.uk refused to approve the repair and cancelled the job (without informing us - I had to chase up after 3 weeks) - the reason given, they don't cover the fault that I listed in my request. They have refunded part of what I paid - they should have refunded the full amount. Firstly, they shouldn't have accepted the job in the first place; secondly they do actually cover the fault as described by the engineer and so they shouldn't have cancelled it. The cooker has now been repaired by another more reliable and honest company.
