I wish I could give it a 4.5 rating. I love the weight and how protective these are. I use them in outdoor training and they hold up amazingly. They don't shift around and are quite comfortable. That being said, I hope you don't care much for your shoelaces, or your shoes if they're made of the wrong type of material. The hook and loop, although extremely strong, places the hook side face down. This results in catching the laces. A small redesign would be useful in addressing this issue. Outside of that, I really can't say enough good things. Even in my FMA classes I can take a stick to the shin and not notice anything. Looking forward to getting the barefoot design!
