I have been using Rocketroute for several years using my iPad and iPhone. I don't use a PC. The route planning and flight plan filing aspect is excellent and in the few cases where I have had a problem, the telephone support has always been quick, friendly and very effective. Ten out of ten for that part! There are a few things that could be better: The iPad app is very clunky. For example, if you store plates from a number of airports it can take several hours to update them. Also there is no edit function so, if you want to delete a number of airports or old flights, you have to do that by opening and deleting each one individually. The tiled display of airports and flights is good for some aspects of flying but it would be useful to have the option to view these things as a list so that each item takes up less screen space. The icing forecast in the briefing pack is invariably far too pessimistic and should be changed. Including a Gramet such as that available from Ogimet or the EuroGA forum route planner would be very helpful and shouldn't be expensive to do. The scratch pad behaves very strangely. When you first open it, it will not allow you to draw anything but straight lines so trying to write numbers gives very strange results. If you delete the page, the problem goes away and you can write normally until you navigate away from it and then return when it does it again. That makes the scratch pad useless for me. In summary, the core of Rocketroute, the flight plan creation and filing, is excellent as is the technical support. The iPad app needs improvement.
