I have only used the towel once, but it definitely did not have sand sticking to it, was lovely and big (bought the XL) and it seemed to dry really quickly. It has a chamois type feel to it. I do have another towel similar, but it stays wet and soggy wet, for a fair while, whereas this one didn't. Really quite impressed and can't wait to use it again.
