1st contact is the best way to transfer Forex. Once you have a setup your account, you can send transfer instructions via their webpage, no visiting banks.
You get a good exchange rate and the flat fee structure is agreeable to me. Natwest were charging £14 a transfer and I had to go into the bank each time.
Also - if you get stuck or need help their helpdesk service is very good.
