Shown the sample unit by the rep and was impressed. Place the order, paid deposit. Surveyor called to do the "Milimetre Perfect" measuring. He advised 2 of the 3 windows required lintels to obtain FENSA certification. A few days later, I was called fom head office to be told, "We cannot do one of the windows as specified, as it is too small and you need 2 lintels, which will caost an extra £300". The installer called and did not fit lintels, when challenged he said, "you don't need them, they just say that to cover their arse". The frames where undersized and packed out with loads of nylon shims and foam. They do not appear to be the same specification as agreed at point of sale and One of them is very hard to open/shut. "Chatted" with online agent, who said an agent would be in touch but nothing yet, despite 3 emails. When I managed to speak to a customer services agent, to query the lack of lintels, she said "If the installer said you don't need them, he will be right, they know what there doing". As a footnote, the salesman claimed Anglian and Everest had ceased trading and Safestyle had bought Everest's business, so we are now providing Everest spec windows.
