I discovered St.Barb's early this year by chance when searching gun.deals for a Rossi R22-M, .22WMR precision barrel. I wanted a plinker with more velocity and right inline energy with most 9mm rounds (that are not very specific purpose loads, like Liberty Ammunition's Civil Defense, WHEW!). I love a challenge and at age 59, I've been shooting 4x as many years as I was old when I started acquiring Marksmanship skills, that means age 10 for those who didn't quite follow my windy wording. I found that Rossi .22WMR here @ St. Barb's for $208 incl. tax & free shipping. I have purchased 2 Winchester 1100S Air Rifles for $96 under list and $40-50 cheaper than anywhere else (they're discontinued so everyone has them on sale, but no one cheaper than here), I suggest everyone pick up an Air Rifle if you don't have one yet, it's how everyone taking legitimate Firearms Safety or Marksmanship instruction starts out and helps you build not only good safety practices without a loaded firearm, but also good shooting technique and accuracy due to the lack of recoil and explosion (noise). Plus, the ammo is CHEEEEEAP! Most modern Airguns are not recommended for youth under age 16-18, depending on the model (PCPs are NOT for amateur Marksman or kids, and should be respected as just as dangerous. If fate dealt a bad hand on any given day, you could potentially even kill someone, especially with the .22/.25/.30 cal. ones. Tasco Air Rifle scopes are also sold here and are a great step in training for future long rifle Marksmanship education, it's generally recommended that one learns to shoot well (accurately) with open sights prior to graduating to a riflescope. There are low FPS (airspeed) lever action BB guns and smaller, less powerful pellet/dual ammo BB & pellet pump-action rifles, the best bargains are from Daisy for the former and from Umarex, Crosman AND Daisy, Gamo may make some youth guns, but I've never come across any from them nor Hatsan Arms pneumatics division. My personal bang-for-your-buck dual ammo pump air rifle is the Umarex Apx Nxg Combo .177 800 Fps Lever-Pump, currently on sale for $59.99 @ St. Barb's. And for adults, the Daisy Winchester model 1977 or 77 Lever-Pump dual ammo. Both can shoot BBs or pellets in .177 cal. However I should inform you (because most manufacturers won't mention it when advertising), that BB's are not nearly as accurate through a rifled barrel. So, while you can shoot faster and more rounds with BBs through a pellet gun because they have built-in BB reservoirs which expedite the loading process by a few seconds, don't plan on honing your Marksmanship skills with BBs through a rifled barrel. Likewise, the most accurate BB guns have smooth barrels, and even the short-barreled BB pistols today are pretty accurate and most have adjustable sights. I have 3 semi-auto CO2 pistols and 1 CO2 revolver, check out: Umarex S&W model 29 Revolver (.44 Mag) with loadable cartridges and fully functioning like the real thing, Umarex Glock 19 and S&W M&P .40 and the Daisy Winchester 1911, all of which have magazines and safety's / loading and firing functions as well as aesthetics that make them hard to discern from the genuine article. I have also purchased a Glock 44 .22lr, KEL-TEC SUB2000 9mm, Umarex Ruger Targis hunter Max .22 cal Break Barrel Air rife. tons of magazines and other shooting accessories and most recently ordered a Savage 110 Precision (heavy barrel Tactical chambered in Hornaday 6.5 PRC. Everything I've purchased from Barb's has had absolutely the best prices I could find, even using gun.deals search engine (check it out, Barb's almost always has the best price with shipping etc. factored in, and I do my research before buying ANYthing.
