On first recieving my £600 brand new laptop I was very excited. Well packaged and presented. I was then rapidly brought down to earth to find that despite its spec, it was incredibly slow.... Slower that my partners 3 year old Packard Bell laptop. This was extremely annoying.... I then went about letting it update over night, then all through the next day finally saying 'update complete'.... I restarted it to find 'fingers crossed' no issues at all.... It now has the performance I first expected straight out of the box.... I was on the verge of sending it straight back but now I am satisfied it was more a windows 8.1 update issue, more than a component defect issue. Hopefully it continues to perform as it does now... Hence 4 stars. Would buy again, but would appreciate not having to wait two days for updates...
