I arrived at the store planning to order a wheelchair for my wife who had a broken ankle. The service centre requested identification (e.g. passport, licence or credit card). Between us we only had one credit card. They requested to hold that credit card until we returned with the wheelchair. As this would mean we could buy nothing in store (and that was the whole purpose for our shopping there) we decided to hobble out. Thankfully Harrods had a more common sense approach.
