Put my black 1l SHO bottle on the dash of my van whilst having lunch and couldn't believe how hot it was when I picked it up. However the water was as cool as if I'd just taken it out of the fridge. The diameter of the neck also makes it pleasant and easy to drink out of, much nicer than a plastic bottle. Excellent bit of kit. My only issue is that it doesn't fit in a vehicle drinks holder but I knew this before I purchased so no complaints from me.
