Quality very good. Delivery, overnight, which is superb! Okay, it did cost more for delivery, but impressive that they stood by their promise to get them to me the next day, which was needed for the MOT. However, that's where it went slightly wrong. The plates are advertised as Road Legal, that's what it says in the drop-down menu on the "Number Plate Maker". You are given the option of Road Legal or Show Plate. Except, the Road Legal plate isn't! To be Road Legal a number plate MUST display the Maker's name, their postcode and, most importantly, the British Standard number BS AU 145d. The plates received displayed none of these. That immediately made them unsuitable for road use. Please note that, without going into details, I *know* about road legalities through my previous employment. As I said to them, I can spot a dodgy plate at half a mile at 70mph! And again, trust me, you *will* get your collar felt if you display an illegal plate. As I used to point out to drivers, "You may think you can get away with various illegalities, and you may be lucky and get away with it most of the time, but the police only have to be lucky once and you are in deep trouble!" So as long as you prepared to run the risk every time you take your vehicle onto the road then all well and good. And if you pass the MOT, then all well and good. But, if you are unlucky, then remember that this review warned you! Now, as far as the issues of the plates not being road legal is concerned, if you read the bottom of the front page on the website you will see that they state they are not for use on road, but you'll have to scroll down to find that. I didn't. My mistake. But I *did* read the FAQ because I wondered how they could produce legal plates without sight of your documents. And in the FAQ they state they are based outside the UK. Birmingham? Hmm. The FAQ also states that the plates bear the relevant descriptors above, maker's name, postcode and BS AU 145d. Benefit of the doubt time, perhaps the FAQs haven't been updated since the law were tightened? So maybe it's a genuine mistake, they do happen after all, just look at me for proof of that! BUT, under their terms and conditions they make it clear that they won't entertain any cancellations, refunds etc. Distance Selling Regulations? Nope! Sorry, but you can't just ignore legislation guys. No matter how good your products are. In the end I was lucky. I paid via Paypal, opened a case with them, and to be fair to the company I only asked for a 50% refund. I appreciate that mistakes do happen in life and I don't like to unduly disadvantage small British businesses in these difficult times. And, all credit to them, after a short delay, they did accept my claim and refunded 50%, for which I am very grateful. In summary, a great product, fantastic service, speedy delivery and they deserve great success but only if they correct the couple of errors on their website. Maybe registering with DVLA and getting themselves onto the approved list of suppliers would see their business explode? Thanks folks, the plates are nice, and arrived quickly. and if I need "Show Plates" I would use again!
