Having a little known diesel engine manufactured I Britain in 1959, I thought the failure of the rear crankshaft seal would be the end of the engine. However a friend of mine pointed me to Simply Bearings and within 5 minutes of removing the old bearing I found a replacement that was not a metric equivalent, and at a very reasonable price. Needless to say I ordered it straight away. Three days later I had it in my hand. Unfortunately, as seems to be the case with everything these days work got in the way of me fitting the seal and rebuilding the engine, so I have yet to see if the replacement does the job. This is the reason I have only given 4 stars at present. I intend rebuilding the engine this weekend and if all goes well there is a high probability I will revise this review and rating to 5 stars.
