Over 3 times the price of KSM bearings from elsewhere Never has there been a better example of “Shop Around”. I recently bought a KSM R14 (KLNJ7/8) 7/8” x 1-7/8” x 3/8” bearing from Simply Bearings at a price of £24.37 inc. VAT. I found I needed another couple of these a few days later and looked elsewhere and found them at £7.80 inc. VAT on BearingsRus website and ordered them plus a few others from this supplier. This makes the identical KSM bearing from Simply Bearings OVER 3 TIMES THE PRICE compared to one of their competitors which I consider outrageous. I was offered a £7.50 credit note as a “gesture of goodwill” – which I declined as I don’t plan on putting any more business with them and it only reduces the cost of their bearing to a bit over twice the price. So, the simple takeaway from this is: SHOP AROUND.
