Sadly, to say - literally the worst landlord I had to ever deal with and their Repairs Team is laughable (sorry but it really is). They send someone to fix an issue after waiting for months to the wrong address and then blame you for not being at home…That was not my home, so why would I be in? Then they expect you to wait another month to re-schedule. You have got broken shower they expect you to wash your hair in a sink for another month because they are busy. Their plumber damaged titles accidentally and they were surprised that I am not happy with it. There have been countless issues with SH in the past and admittedly their service is shocking (or lack of service shall I say) and extremely frustrating. I had dealt with them on numerous occasions and despite the valid points I was completely overlooked, which left me frustrated and without a choice, but to complain to HOUSING OMBUDSMAN. I feel that my experience with Stockport homes has been one fuelled by discrimination of my Polish heritage. I feel that if I were British, I would have been listened to and given the opportunity to voice my concerns and complaints. I strongly advise anyone not to be afraid of seeking Housing Ombudsman help – that is the only way things can get sorted for you. I genuinely hope that Stockport Council will do something about SH service – on the end of the day they manage properties of council behalf. SH - please don’t reply to this message as you will advise me to raise a complaint and wait 6 months for feedback.
