Absolutely horrendous - every department, every employee. Sold me a home ‘with off-road parking’ ie a drive. Raised concerns driveway was not fit for purpose as far too narrow & surrounded by brick walls on both sides (not in keeping with the design presented to me). Repeatedly lied to & sent me made up figures about the width of driveway. When I attended again to measure myself-sure enough it was significantly smaller than was stated & as suspected-unfit for purpose. I then had the joy of quietly watching from the top of the road as 2 separate people guided an employees car onto the drive & wrestled the employee out so as to provide me ‘photo evidence’ that despite their repeated lies, this drive was supposedly fit for purpose. Whilst it was a thoroughly enjoyable watch-it proved nothing. Who in their right mind, would have a driveway that could not be used without 2 people to guide you onto it? I also to this day, await evidence as to how 2 small children or perhaps a disabled resident would be able to use such a driveway & exit/enter a vehicle??? After much back & forth, it was agreed there would be arrangements made to either, have the double yellow lines surrounding the house removed (as they are historical & have not been in use since the building it served was demolished, or arrangements for parking permit system would be arranged/applied for. I was satisfied with this, I needed a home, it was in the right place, & ultimately, onroad parking seemed a good compromise to secure a home for my family. Of note, within approximately one week-they had submitted revised planning permission & had it immediately agreed so as to allow the building incorrectly built to remain as such. I was forced to sign a letter on the basis that this be agreed to & the actions proposed would infact take place. Whereby upon this being the case, I would be unable to return with further complaint or regarding parking. Fair enough....or so i foolishly believed I was repeatedly pressured to sign & complete the purchase or else they would remove me from the opportunity (in full knowledge that I needed a home, was pregnant & that this would successfully force me to comply or have no suitably place home-which sadly they succeeded in doing). I also note for those who still have the patience to read-a previous buyer for this house fell through-I have been denied a reason for this cancellation of purchase....but it is not difficult to assume this previous buyer was probably equally unhappy with the parking, but had the priveledge of being able to walk away. It has been 18 months. Nothing stipulated in the letter, I was pressured to sign, has been done. I submitted a subject access request to investigate how I was still not able to use my home as it was sold to me. The response was laughable, answered nothing, & clearly left out what I assume are incriminating emails & overall a seemingly pointless effort on both our parts Furthermore, following on from reciept of (the laughable) subject access-& to assumably punish me for asking questions, they have taken steps to ensure that my home is even more unfit for living as a lone parent with 2 small children-by attending the estate & placing even more double yellow lines in the only area I was able to leave my car, so as I am now parking on a different street altogether & carrying a 2 year old & young baby yards in the wind/snow & rain to get in & out of our home. This requires me to leave one child out of sight to get each one in or out of the home at a time (with the large amount of belonging that come with 2 young children, carrying both & all our things is not an option)-causing unnecessary stress for the most basic of tasks, & forcing me to leave my young children unattended frequently. Something which I am sure, no parent would ever choose to do-but for which I have no say. During my pregnancy for my now 2nd child -I was forced to leave this home for 3 months to manage. Even more spectacularly, given it apparently takes at least 18 months to file a piece of paper-within 3 weeks of my being out of the country & a change of banking arrangements (something that they were aware of & know there is a simple solution to). I was accosted on my own doorstep by a passive aggressive member of staff demanding a payment. My baby was half dressed in my arms & clearly in view of this woman. I was left with either allowing this unexpected verbally pushy/passive aggressive woman who had stuck her foot into the doorway (assumably so as to make us as uncomfortable as possible, & prevent either me leaving or closing the door to the home I regrettably part own), into the home-or continue to stand there with a unacceptably dressed baby in the cold. Rightly or wrongly, I chose to stay at the door & not invite this employee in. In closing, an absolute disgrace. please, anyone considering involving yourselves with these people-think very very long & hard about what your future would look like with this ‘association’. They are incompetent, aggressive, liars. Even when informing them my child was in NICU & we had been bereaved at the same time-the aggressive tactics did not relent in communications from staff members. To aid your decision making process-I provide evidence of my ‘meets regulations’ driveway.
