Customer service through the booking service was good, both polite and responsive but it wasnt made clear that food was expected to be ordered and so the this got rather awkward when I said I didnt need food. When booking the boat in January there should be fixed catering and entertainment costs available at that point and not having to wait 3 months for these. Its very difficult to budget when this is the case. I might have ordered food if these costs were known earlier. On the day, there was no one overseeing the party. There really should be a designated co-ordinator as part of the boat management. People were left waiting at the pier gate (at embark time), no one advising when the gate would be opened. When it did finally open I had to ask if it was ok to board. Also the boat did not take off for some time. Only when one of the party asked why this was were they told it as there were less people on the boat than booked. Again someone on the boat should be more proactive and ask these questions instead of the guests having to work it out.
