Having been a customer of Oddbins originally and now Calais Wine Superstore since the day it opened, I guess I can almost be described as the most loyal and longest customer. CWSS is difficult to fault: the selection of wines for a start is probably THE best in Calais, and Simon always seems to be able to offer parcels of wine which are excellent value and great drinking. On my frequent visits, I've watched how the business has boomed and developed, and the layout of the store has improved along with the new tasting room, which is excellent. Simon and his staff are always ready to help, whether it be with advice or queries or returns and their willingness to price match is never a question. All in all, CWSS is easily and by far the best wine store in Calais by a large margin, the staff are excellent and helpful, and we know each other so well now that I count them all as personal friends. One only hopes that the current problems at the Port and Eurotunnel with migrants will eventually be sorted out and normality will return to the Calais businesses affected.
