We have been customers of the Calais Wine store for several years. In fact most, if not all of our wine shopping is with them. This is made much easier by the availability to order online and to purchase some old favourites and staple wines and to try some new ones as well. The benefit of the free travel offer by ferry or eurostar is also an important factor as this makes it not only a wine extravaganza but a trip out for the day or for an overnight stay as well. The service is quick and efficient with our order being ready for collection at a time to suit us and providing ample time to visit Auchun supermarche to purchase some items for a picnic along the coast before the return home. All in all an excellent service we look forward to using again and again. Pity they do not provide the picnic as well, but they do have excellent introductions and offers for local restaurants. We also manage to shop in Auchun for a few things for home as well. You cannot beat some french breach and butter, jambon, a selection of fromage, crevettes, muscles and other delights. Even the charcoal is better. Long may Calais Wine remain.
