Poor choice, poor service and forces you to use a commercial app to reclaim tax that charges you 25%. We thought we would try this store rather than the excellent store that we have used for years. A big disappointment and we won’t be returning. Great choice if you want anything other than French wine! Store poorly laid out and signposted internally, flatbed trolleys unusable for a large quantity of individual bottles. Check out took an absolute age as every bottle was looked up individually. When we asked for the tax form so we could use the ferry terminal facility to claim back VAT they told us we couldn’t have one - had to use the skip tax app they said - turns out it charges 25%. We felt this was approaching a scam as not made clear on the website. Beware also that the app, touted as simple on their website, still obliges you to scan a barcode at the ferry terminal. Beware yet further of the ‘price guarantee’ that is NOT a price match but a promise of a refund if you can produce evidence that prices are lower elsewhere (which they can be). Who would have the time to do that when passing through Calais on holiday? A fact this organisation is no doubt aware of. Overall, needs to set its ethical bar a bit higher.
