We've been going to Calais Wine twice a year for a good number of years now, first on day trips with Eurotunnel but more recently taking advantage of the overnight stays (only an hour from Bruges, can certainly recommend you doing that the next time you travel over). All Eurotunnel costs paid for by Calais Wine, which is a nice touch. Struggling to recall whether we've ever bought a bad or disappointing red wine - whites are a little less reliable, or more a matter of taste, which is where the free tasting provided comes in handy. Nothing like trying it out before you load a box or two onto the groaning trolley. We tend to make up an order for research purposes before we travel, and put it together once we arrive rather than have the order waiting for us, because there is usually something else that catches our eye in the store. Staff are friendly and non-pushy, CWS is easy enough to find off the main A16 road. What's not to like? See you in 6 months... Brexit nightmare permitting, of course.
