I can only repeat what I have written before about your water based applicators: they are too short; applicators for thrush are about 3 inches longer and if a woman has a small vagina she can refrain from inserting it all but not vice versa. However in my case (I've always been told I have a tight vagina, not having had children) I find myself inserting the whole pouch bit into my vagina as well to get the lubricant as far up as possible and even then it does not reach the top. I also have a douche for when I get thrush (it is good with a tablespoon of white vinegar solution in a litre or pint to clean out the vagina before inserting the next applicator. It was recommended by an old doctor in the 1970s - it helps get rid of the thrush much more quickly).
The nozzle is 6 inches long so I can feel when I am reaching my uterus.
I did tell this to Claire some months ago and she said your research showed your clients felt uncomfortable with the idea of a longer applicator but I would like to see the paper describing this research as (with respect) it does not make sense. I would feel so much safer with a longer applicator given the vaginal atrophy that has been going on since menopause and the fact that the water-based lubricant is absorbed.
Thank you.
