We hired Chimney Pros to fix a natural gas fireplace that wouldn’t ignite. They initially offered a non-thermostat controlled remote. When I said we want to replace with similar capability to my prior remote they told me it would be an additional $350 making my bill for a new remote and the $49 service call $700. They didn’t leave me the box or warranty paperwork. When it didn’t work correctly, they refused to replace it or give me my money back. When I researched the remote, it is a cheap $35 product. I was charged $651 for a $35 part.
