As I found myself turning into a bit of a jack-of-all trades (master of none!) doing handy-man work, I started getting the urge to get a proper trade. So decided I want to get into tiling. I looked at a few courses online and none of them stood out to me, for various reasons, some seemed too long at 6 weeks (a lot of money spent & time off work), but also they didn't really say what set's them apart from the rest, or offer any kind of business plan. So just sort of called it off, that is until I came across UK Pro Tiling. The only dedicated tiling center in the UK, I like the no-nonsense approach (and that continued throughout the course). I read the positive reviews, rang up Tracey and had a good chat about what's the best course for me, then was booked on to the 9 day course. I'm gonna stop waffling on and just give some facts: *Money well spent *Trainer (Darren) seriously knows his stuff *All aspects of tiling covered *Setting out (for bathrooms, kitchens and floors) *Complete product knowledge (be it tiles, adhesives, grouts etc.) *Complete set of notes to refer back to *How to set up business and market it I could go on! If you're a little skeptical about keeping up with the demands of the course (it is intense) I offer my advise from someone who was by no means the fastest learner out the group, fairly slow actually! but anyway all you really have to do is listen to Darren as best you can, apply yourself to the task at hand and just focus on getting the quality right, before the quantity and you will come out on top! So my biggest thanks go to Darren and Tracey!! (P.S. I promised the Brafferton house in Hartlepool I would recommend them, £25 a night or Darren and Tracey can sort you out with accommodation)
