The threaded portion of the long hay spear is too long - it sticks out so much that it keeps the frame from attaching to the loader. About 3/4" of threads stick out past the nut when it is tightened down, and that is enough to make it hit the horizontal bar of the loader and keep the frame from rotating down enough to catch at the bottom. (I have a Global style frame and loader on my John Deere 5100E.) I am going to have to cut off about 1/2" of threads to make it fit. Not something I'd expect I would have to do.
