Order No. 11100367063 Date Ordered: 7/25/23   On 7/25 I ordered this from Titan, 3 Point 6 FT Landscape Rake with Bolt-On Wheels, Item number 191307. Total $1,214.99 which included the Package Protection option. It arrived the following Friday (7-28) Although the shipping crate looked like it had been through a warzone, no damages was seen.  The following day I started to inventory and assemble the rake. Upon opening the boxes it was discovered that there were only 17 rake teeth (or tines).  There should be 36 (19 are missing)  I emailed support and after there wasn't a response I called the cust service number. Every call, all they do is say, Hmmhmm, ya and then state they will forward it to a supervisor. Several emails and calls later I received this response. "As per checking, there is no specific amount listed for how many tines ship with the item.  What we can offer is we can send an extra 10 at no cost as a customer courtesy. Please let me know if you want to proceed." Really? THis is not acceptable.  A look at the product's webpage clearly shows the 6ft rake has 36 teeth. https://www.palletforks.com/tractors/3-point/landscaping-equipment/rakes/landscape-rakes-category-1-3-point-%E2%80%93-optional-bolt-on-wheels/LRAKE.html How can you sell something and not know what you sell?  A message to shipping asking how many teeth ship with the 6ft rake would have answered that right away.  Anyway, I emailed back and send a pic from there site of the rake and called cust support.  The lady I talked to said she counted 36 teeth and would forward that information to the supervisor.  Shortly thereafter, I received another email with the exact same response of only replacing 10 teeth. (Apparently, copied and pasted) So, I partially assembled the rake section with the 17 teeth and took pictures showing, with numbers, the missing 19 teeth.  Again, exact same response of only replacing 10.  I said that is not acceptable.  It's clear, the picture shows 36 teeth. The Tine Bar has 36 holes, coincidence? And there are 6 tine covers (lack of a better name since they aren't shown on the part list), each with 6 holes that go above the rake teeth. Let's see, 6x6 is 36. Wow, another coincidence... I reached out to the shipping carrier, Saia. They issued me a reference number 95054952 and instructed me to give Titan that number and request they file a claim at Saia.com  Which I did. I have emailed them, Titan, twice with that number.  The carrier will cover the missing pieces.  Again, the exact same response "As per checking, there is no specific amount listed for how many tines ship with the item.  What we can offer is we can send an extra 10 at no cost as a customer courtesy. Please let me know if you want to proceed." Also, I paid for Package Protection which is supposed to cover loss, theft or damage in transit with instant resolution. That is exactly the case here but, customer support also refuses to acknowledge that when mentioned.   This has been a customer service nightmare. I am losing sleep and stressed over this. I paid over $1200 for this and right now have half a rake which is useless without ALL the teeth.  I'm sure you can understand why I feel screwed and am upset and losing my patience. Why can't Titan stand behind their products to make this right?   And file the claim with the carrier as instructed.  This should have been handled in a few minutes with a couple of calls or emails. I can assure you, as I had planned to purchase two more items from Titan, I will never make another purchase.  I feel I have no recourse but to seek legal means.
