At 10' long, this is a monster of a ramp- made even more so by the 18" width. It's just a beast. I found the extra length handy when loading my sport bike, which has a very low belly pan. (Long ramp = lower angle at the ramp-to-bed transition). I also found that the extra width means I don't have to be particularly careful about having the bike lined up EXACTLY right when loading/ unloading. The downside is that this thing is reasonably heavy. You could probably get away with a narrower ramp if you're loading sport bikes or dirt bikes, but if you have a big cruiser, you'll welcome the overall size.
