Currently £76 out of pocket, please be careful…. I don’t usually leave bad reviews but unfortunately on this occasion I feel potential customers of this company should be forewarned. I ordered a pair of Dr Marten boots, they arrived, didn’t fit, returned them using the label they sent. All fine so far. 10 days after posting my return I received an email to say I’d returned the wrong product (a child’s tshirt) and to send them £4 to return it. I was confused, as the only parcel I’ve sent via Royal Mail this year was these boots. I asked Tower to send a photo of the label and product inside. This was a top/garment I’ve never laid eyes on and paperwork belonging to another customer showing their name and email address (nice GDPR breach there). The return label was mine, shown on brown paper packaging which was used to cover my shoe box, you can see the corner of the shoe box in the photograph. It’s clearly not a tshirt. I pointed this out on my email back thinking they would realise their error and resolve their issue (there must be a shoebox with my boots and paperwork in their office somewhere?). Sadly this was not the case, I received another email demanding £4 for them to send me a tshirt that does not belong to me, that I’ve never seen before 😅 I asked 3 times for a phone number or for someone to call me, suspecting that their emails are AI as they haven’t replied to any question I’ve asked, it’s like a standard bot reply. I haven’t had a response yet. I’ve called the number on here which goes to voicemail. Currently, despite following their returns procedure to the T, I’m £76 out of pocket, Tower London are either unwilling or have no procedure in place, to talk to me to resolve this. If this changes, I will amend my review, in the meantime I’m going to call citizens advice this afternoon to see what the next step would be.
